Scope of this ESSENTIAL
This ESSENTIAL describes the legal obligations for manufacturers and the regulatory requirements for the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment as specified in the regulation.

The RoHS Regulations prohibit economic operators from placing or making available on the market EEE in which any homogenous material contains more than the permitted maximum concentration values (MCVs) of any of 10 substances/groups according to Schedule A1.'
