NOTE: 1) Northern Ireland regulations are not completely covered by this ESSENTIAL. At least use the CE mark for Northern Ireland.

Legislation in force: The Radio Equipment Regulations 2017 UK Radio Regulation. (Transposition of the EU Radio Equipment Directive into the national law of the United Kingdom). Must be read with SI 2019 No. 696:2019-03-27 to get the UKCA Mark and the formal differences. The first version was the European RED. Many requirements are similar to RED. SCHEDULE 29 (Regulation 32) Amendment of the Radio Equipment Regulations 2017 and related amendments describes the changes to SI 2017 No. 1206, post-BREXIT legislation Moves date of mandatory UKCA marking of products from 01-JAN-2022 to 01-JAN-2023 Purpose of the instrument The main objective of this instrument is to provide businesses with additional time to transition to the post-exit independent UK conformity assessment marking (UKCA) regime requirements, in order to legally place products on the market in Great Britain (England and Wales and Scotland).

Scope of this ESSENTIAL
