Scope of legislation

PARTLY COMPLETED MACHINERY is defined as drive systems and other assemblies which (regulation 6) (a) are almost machinery; (b) cannot in themselves perform a specific application; and (c) are only intended to be incorporated into or assembled with other machinery or other partly completed machinery or equipment, thereby forming machinery All numbering of regulations and annexes/parts refer to the consolidated version of: SI 2008 No.1597/ SI 2019 No.696. NOTE: 1) Northern Ireland regulations are not covered by this CRF 2) Machinery regulations are not covered by this ESSENTIAL (see ESSENTIAL GBR Machinery Product Cat.1)'
