Mercury-Containing and Rechargeable Battery Management Act The purpose of the Act is to phase out the use of mercury in batteries and facilitate the collection and recycling of nickel-cadmium rechargeable, small sealed lead-acid rechargeable, and other regulated batteries. Mercury Export Ban Act of 2008 An act to prohibit the sale, distribution, transfer, and export of elemental mercury, and for other purposes.
