Scope of legislation

This ESSENTIAL describes the legal obligations for manufacturers and the regulatory requirements for the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment as specified in the regulation. Annex 1/A ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC GOODS CATEGORIES 1. Large household items 2. Small appliances 3. IT and telecommunications equipment 4. Consumer equipment 5. Lighting equipment 6. Electrical and electronic equipment (excluding large and fixed industrial appliances) 7. Toys, entertainment and sports equipment 8. Medical Devices 9. Monitoring and control instruments 10. Vending Machines Annex 1/B contains a detailed list of electrical and electronics goods categories.'
