Scope of this ESSENTIAL

This ESSENTIAL describes the regulatory requirements for radio equipment (including combined equipment and radio modules) as defined in Article 4 no. g and the legal obligations for manufacturers. The ESSENTIAL is based on the adoption of the EU Radio Equipment Directive. General radio approval with focus on short range devices. Mobile phones, fixed radio stations and broadcast items are not in focus of this ESSENTIAL. '
