The applicable legislation is the Turkish Regulation on Chemicals Registration, Evaluation, Auhtorisation and Restriction (so-called KKDIK) which is mandatory since 23 December 2017.
The KKDIK Ordinance unite various Turkish chemical laws in one law by replacing three existing regulations:
– The Inventory and Control of Chemical Regulation (KEK) (effective date 23 June, 2017)
– Regulation on Restrictions for the Manufacture, Marketing and Use of certain Dangerous Substances and preparation
(effective date 23 December, 2017)
– Regulation on Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Substances and Mixtures (GBF) (effective date 31 December, 2023)
The law is the final step on Turkey's way to aligning chemicals legislation with the EU regulatory framework in the accession negotiations.
Amendment of the KKDIK regulation which is mandatory since 29 November 2019.
