Scope: |
This ESSENTIAL describes the safety of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres requirements of Singapore, based on the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
There is no specific "ATEX-Law" comparable with the EU legislation. Explosive atmospheres are covered by the regulations regarding MHI (Major Hazard Installation).
For plants and premises in Singapore, there is an obligation of registration, to be performed by the operator.
