This ESSENTIAL describes the electrical safety requirements of machine safety used in Hong Kong, based on the following legislation and information:
- Factories and Industrial Undertaking Ordinance (Cap. 59)
- Sub-Legislation of the Factories and Industrial Undertaking Ordinance (Cap. 59 A - AI)
- Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance (Cap. 509)
- Sub-Legislation of the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance (Cap. 509 A and B)
- Guidance’s of the Labour Department
Not in scope of this ESSENTIAL: railways, lifts and elevators, gas appliances, amusement rides, aerial ropeways, cars and vehicles.
