Electricity Law of Egypt
It refers to the production, transmission and distibution of electrical energy.
Art.1 - The provisions of the Electricity Law shall apply to regulate all activities and works related to the electricity utility.
Important regulation regarding energy efficiency:
Art.51 -The producers and importers of the devices and equipment which consume electricity shall fix the energy efficiency cards on the electric appliances in accordance with the ministerial decrees issued in this respect and the stipulations ofthe executive regulations.
Law No. 118/1975
As a general rule, the Import and Export Law No. 118/1975 and its executive regulation in Ministerial Decree No. 770/2005 are the main regulations governing import restrictions and licensing.

Decree No. 403/2022 amends some items contained in Decree No. 96/2022 and Decree No. 991/2015.
HINT: Electric Current transformers which were part of the Regulated Product List as per Decree 96/2022 have been removed from the latest Regulated Product List as per Decree 403/2022.
